CrossTalk Bullhorns: Absence of peace
We are back to square one in Iran and Ukraine. The MOU is looking to be nothing more than a ruse and a deceit. A ploy to buy time and search for leverage. Much the same can be said about the Ukraine conflict. The West is not interested in peace. It is pursuing a policy of direct war against Russia. Russia has taken note. CrossTalking with Mark Sleboda and George Szamuely.
Crossing red lines
NATO’s new wonder weapons for its Ukraine proxy are missiles and drones. The logic is missiles and drones alone will force Russia to end the conflict and surrender. Russia would not dare to escalate to strike NATO in return. This is called brinkmanship and its very dangerous. CrossTalking with Alex Reporterfy, Mats Nilsson, and Alexandre Guerreiro.
What agreement?
Not surprisingly the Memorandum of Understanding ending the US-Israel war on Iran means different things to different people. Since its signing, the Trump administration has actively attempted to renegotiate the deal in real time. These attempts haven’t opened the Strait of Hormuz.
CrossTalking with Daniel McAdams, Julia Roknifard, and Leila Hudson.
Poison pills
We live in grim times. The MoU resolving the US-Israel war on Iran is being sabotaged on multiple fronts. Add to this the Europeans’ refusal to enter into any negotiations or dialogue with Russia to end the war in Ukraine. Overall, peace is not on the agenda. CrossTalking with Patrick Henningsen and Jason Zaharis.
End of Sykes-Picot
As the Americans slow-walk talks and Israel obstructs them, the region and the world is moving on. US Vice President J.D. Vance says Washington hopes to “transform” the Middle East. Well, it has already happened. It’s called the end of the Sykes-Picot era. CrossTalking with Joshua Landis, Ashish Prashar, and Mohammad Khatibi.
Iran calls the shots
Ending the US-Israel war of choice on Iran is proving to be difficult if not impossible. The Americans and Israelis fail to publicly acknowledge they have lost this war. Both have their demands, but Iran has the leverage. Iran is calling the shots. CrossTalking with Sarah Leah Whitson, Mohamed Elmenshawy, and Hicham Safieddine.
